I have this issue with feeling like we should always be doing something fun and exciting on Friday and/or Saturday nights. I think it goes way back. According to my mom, I was never home on weekends. Ever since the fifth grade my friends always had something planned. We started out going to high school basketball games with the Gardner's and as the years passed it seemed we always had something planned for the weekend. I remember on one of my birthdays in junior high a bunch of kids were going snow skiing and my parents wouldn't let me go, I thought I was going to die! Yes, I said junior high:) Anyway, I still sometimes have issues with just being home on a weekend night and yet lately at times it is just easier:) So these are some pictures from our fun relaxing Friday night.Tyler had a little fun with the camera. Lately I have been checking out some girls on facebook for my cute single brother and I think every girl on there does this lip picture pose thing. I think it is kind of funny. I don't quite do the pose justice:) ME, once again in the kitchen, I am sure cleaning up number ? mess of the day.
I have no idea how Brent is actually sleeping.
The kids decided to make a secret hide out under the bathroom sink. They took a flash light and told stories in the dark. Oh, to be a kid again!
Tyler and Mckay then thought it would be fun to spike their hair. They both need haircuts so they thought it was pretty cool.

I am with you on the fun Friday nights. Unfortunately, my dear husband would always rather stay home... I have to talk him into goind anywhere.
I'll come do something fun with you!
I remember many a Friday night being picked up by Helen in the tan & brown van and listening to her sing Les Miserables as she dropped off 20 teenagers.
P.S. What were we doing at the haunted house with boys when we were 12? I believe you were with a certain boy that will remain unnamed...but your song was "Groovy Kind of Love". :)
The kissy face is classic. I believe I have rolls and rolls of film of me and my friends hangin' out in Jr. High, making kissy faces into the camera. Oh wait. That was yesterday.
Hooray for weekend, whatever you do!
Oh Heather, I can so relate to that. I too still have issues with the weekend. If you're at home, you're a loser! Now it has modified a little bit. It's kind of an unwritten rule that I don't cook on the weekend. Which used to mean going out, now it usually means take out! Now my motto is, if you cook at home, you're a loser. Just kidding. P.S. I'm totally shocked at the number of posts you've added lately=)
I am so glad so many of you relate:) Ken, those were the days. I have to admit that my mom was a very cool mom and boy we had lots of fun, but you didn't have to remind me of "Groovy Kind of Love." There are certain memories I try to block out forever!! And Kim, I have also modified the weekends and it sounds pretty close to your version. Cooking on weekends, unheard of....so am I still cool??
Funny because the only time I get to cook, or have time too, is on the weekends! Usually Sunday...
Gina, I have gone through phases of on and off cooking!! I guess we should just enjoy each phase right?!? I think I need some of your gourmet cooking recipes...that might help:)
